How to Play 8-Ball Pool
Breakshot 3D is a realistic 3D pool game featuring physics-based gameplay. The objective is to pot all your designated balls (solids 1-7 or stripes 9-15) and then sink the 8-ball to win.
Game Controls
Desktop: Click and drag near the cue ball to aim. Drag distance controls shot power. Right-click and drag to rotate camera view. Use mouse wheel to zoom.
Mobile: Tap and drag near cue ball to aim. Two-finger drag to rotate view. Pinch to zoom in/out.
8-Ball Pool Rules
Objective
Be the first player to legally pot all your group balls (solids or stripes) and then sink the 8-ball.
Breaking
- Player 1 always breaks first
- Must hit the front ball in the rack
- If you pot a ball on the break, you continue shooting
- Groups are assigned based on the first ball legally potted after the break
Turn Rules
- You continue shooting as long as you pot your group balls
- Must hit your group ball first (or any ball if groups not assigned)
- Turn ends when you miss, foul, or pot opponent's ball
- After potting all your group balls, you must call and sink the 8-ball
Fouls
- Scratch: Potting the cue ball
- Wrong Ball First: Hitting opponent's ball before your own
- 8-Ball Early: Potting 8-ball before clearing your group
- Cue Ball Off Table: Shooting cue ball off the table
Winning
- Pot all your group balls, then legally pot the 8-ball
- Win immediately if opponent fouls on the 8-ball
- Win if opponent pots 8-ball before clearing their group
